The Audiovox CDM-120 has come to be known as the “no frills, no thrills” phone because it is a basic cell phone with nothing extra. You cannot take pictures with this phone, nor can you check e-mail or surf the net. However the CDM-120 is reasonably priced, it is comfortable, functional and dependable.
The comfort aspect of the Audiovox CDM-120 is undeniable. This cell phone feels good in the hands. It is a flip top compact phone but is thicker than many cell phone models. It is very easy to hold onto when you are talking and when you are closing it.
The Audiovox CDM-120 is attractive to the eye in the fact that the keypad is laid out in an organized fashion. The buttons are marked very precisely and there is plenty of room for fingers of any size. The buttons on the CDM-120 are raised which adds to its ability to be functional. This is an extremely user friendly phone in so many ways.
As far as the sound quality of phone calls, the CDM-120 holds its own very well. Users describe the sound as crisp and very clear. Regardless of whether you are using the earphone, earpiece or speakerphone, the sound continues to be very good.
There is a volume control which is helpful depending on where you are when you are making or receiving a phone call. The volume control was strategically placed in the area where the user’s thumb would be which makes adjusting the volume up or down during a phone conversation very simple to do.
The Audiovox CDM-120 is durable and strong but do not go overboard and throw it down the stairs. If you accidentally drop it on the floor it should not break. Of course this is dependent upon the distance it falls from.
The CDM-120 is available in black and silver but dents and scratches are much more evident when it is purchased in silver. If you have no problem with battle scars then go ahead and buy the silver color. Both are equally pleasing to the eye.
There are a few games that can be played on the CDM-120 but not too many. Users have the option to subscribe to a number of services and these can enhance what the phone already has to offer.
As far as battery life is concerned, the Audiovox CDM-120 fares below average. It has a talk time of 3.50 hours and a standby time of 255 hours (or 10.6 days). The resolution of the display is 128 x 128 pixels.

Transferring any type of data has to be done manually and this can be terribly time consuming. In this way, the phone is viewed at somewhat archaic.
Overall
If you just need a cell phone to communicate with others then the Audiovox CDM-120 offers value for money. It is practical, dependent and very simple to use.
