Life insurance selling is a very profitable and an appealing business; many people have been seen making their careers in life insurance or mortgage life insurance in the hope of making big money.
As an agent in life insurance career there are many benefits. For starters you would be cashing money for a firm you are employed you and if you do more sales they will reward you more. This means that there are chances you might be having heavy accounts. This is partly due to the reason that mortgage protection insurance companies pay commission on a policy that keeps on giving them premium for the many years to come.
Another benefit attached is that when you sell life insurance or mortgage life insurance you feel like you are your own boss. Life insurance sales jobs require you to go to several meetings from time to time; initially you would ask your boss. But once the training session is over you don’t have to ask your boss you can work according to your own hours and set your meetings according to your schedule and wish list. If you wish to meet a client some day you can meet them and if you do not to have a meeting at all you can just cancel them and take a day off. If you don’t like working at nights, you can target the businesses that are active during daytime. Like this you can work during daytime and night will be all yours.
Being a life insurance agent also means a lot of traveling. You will not grow fat sitting in a cubicle all day long in fact you will be having meetings with clients all around the world. Also, if you want you can work from home and have clients visit you at your house.
Writing about life insurance jobs portrays the job to be very easy and luxurious. When asked by sales agents what they do, they replied “ I help people” and indeed they do help people by making their lives stay on track on the death of their loved one.
However the more the freedom the more are the responsibilities and the risks attached to it. Very few agents in life insurance are successful, a survey showed that 98% of the life insurance agents are fired in their first year or they either quit. It is a very difficult job to attend to and many agents do not even survive their third anniversary. You can only be successful if you have a strong network around you having strong referrals and repeated buyers. If you don’t like working at nights, you would still have to work on some to establish a good reputation in the market.

Your manager will be there to help you out but in the end it is you alone who takes the lead. Your devotion to your work is very essential. And another factor of success is to take a break from time to time.
